SPELLING WORDS WEEK 7


1. Absolutely

Yes of course Celia, I will absolutely get you an ice tea.

" Without exception; completely; wholly; entirely. "

2. Immediately

Once you are done in my office you will immediately retrieve my ice tea.

" Without lapse of time; without delay; instantly; at once."

3. Necessarily

You do not necessarily need to get my ice tea if you bring me a milkshake instead. 

"By or of necessity; as a matter of compulsion or requirement."

4. Carefully

Place the ice tea carefully on my desk and leave.

" Cautious in one's actions."

5. Obstinately

She obstinately decided to get her own ice tea instead of celias'.

"Firmly or stubbornly adhering to one's purpose, opinion, etc."

6. Voluntarily

She should of gone voluntarily instead to my office.

" Acting or done without compulsion or obligation."

7. Sensibly

The young girl sensibly waited at the traffic lights till it was safe.

"Having, using, or showing good sense or sound judgment."

8. Efficiently

I can efficiently retrieve an ice tea.

" Performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort."

9. Frantically

Frantically she ran to the shop. 

"Desperate or wild with excitement, passion, fear or pain."

10.  Optimistically

She optimistically waited at the train station for her father to come home.

11.     Scientifically

The man was scientifically investigating the fingerprints.

12.     Temporarily

The computers next door are temporarily unavailable.

"lasting, existing, serving, or effective for a time only; not permanent."

13.     Unbelievable

Your blue and green hair is unbelievable.

"Too dubious or improbable to be believed"

14.    Irretrievable

The item in the well is irretrievable now.

"Not retrievable; irrecoverable; irreparable."

15.   Inflammable

Unluckily my pyjamas were inflammable.

"Capable of being set on fire."

16.    Charitable

The man has a very charitable practice. 

"Generous in donations or gifts to relieve the needs of indigent, ill, or helpless persons, or of animals."

17.     Irresistible

My cherry lip gloss is irresistible. 

"Enticing; tempting to possess."

18.     Resignation

I will fill in my resignation forms today and then leave the factory by next week. 

"The act of resigning."

19.     Autonomous

That is one autonomous and wild kid.

"Self-governing; independent; subject to its own laws only."

20.  Receivership

The shop went into receivership. 

"The position or function of being a receiver in charge of administering the property of others."
